If you have broken or damaged glass in your windows, it is best to get it replaced as quickly as possible. At Window Medics our staff are ready to deal with any such problems at short notice.
Over the past ten years we have replaced hundreds of thousands of damaged window panes through our network of dealers throughout Canada and the US. No matter how big or small your window, we have the expertise and equipment to replace the glass quickly and efficiently.
Where you have double or triple glazing, we will replace the damaged glass and then fill the gap or gaps between the panes with air, argon or krypton gas. This will ensure that heat transfer between the panes is kept to a minimum, mean minimal loss of heat in your room in the winter, and make certain that it does not get overheated in the summer when you are running the air conditioning.
Of course, this means that your electricity bills will be kept to a minimum, which is better for you and better for the environment. We have a variety of glass options available that can give you as much as ten times the thermal insulation properties of ordinary glass.
Another advantage is, of course, sound proofing. Double glazing will reduce the noise and give you more peace and quiet – especially if you live on a busy street, or near an airport or railway station. Triple pane glass offers as much as 83% greater thermal efficiency as single pane windows and reduces noise levels even more than double glazing.
Single panes can be of clear glass, or if you prefer, tinted glass. You can also have tempered glass.
Window Medics can also renew or replace the glass in your shower unit or around the bath. Shower units can be either framed, where you have a selection of frames from which to choose, or frameless according to your choice. For these we use tempered glass which is far less susceptible to damage, and – unlike the glass used in many shower units – less prone to scratching or staining. The glass can also be tinted in a variety of shades to match your bathroom décor.
